Carmine Pariante, Chair of the Psychiatry Research Trust
Carmine Pariante's team!
My Story
Hallo from Carmine Pariante.
I am the Chair of the Psychiatry Research Trust (PRT), a charity dedicated to promoting mental health through research and education.
I am truly excited that my team of students and researchers at King's College London are running the Vitality 10K to support the PRT. Mental and brain disorders affect one in four people at some point in their lives, causing distress to sufferers, families, and friends.
At the PRT we aim to support very important research and education into all aspects of mental and brain health, and we are particularly committed to developing the young scientists of tomorrow. Look at our website to know more about the work that we support.
After running my first marathon (the London Marathon) this year, and raising more than £5K for the PRT, I have now inspired my team to run this 10K, not only to fundraise for the PRT but also to challenge themselves in running their personal best times!
So, please, donate for this very worthy cause!
If you are interested, please read my pieces on how I trained for the London Marathon and what I learnt from running it.
Please make us feel your support!
