My Story

To commemorate my 60th Birthday and the fact the whole of my working life has been at Barts or the London, I am running my first 10K. 

Not much for some...but a lot for a Berney!

I started in pathology at the RLH in 1991, and as you can see my profile picture is of a rare tumour!

This is also to acknowledge the fact that a number of our consultants or their partners have previously had (or have) cancer or cardiac disease, and the immense contribution of my consultant colleagues and fellow researchers in thse areas and to support my colleagues in their journey. 

Barts Charity has previously supported my tissue collection, and I know only too well the many excellent and dedicated researchers they support.
